It’s a New Year, which means new resolutions and goals – but adding new things all at once can be daunting!

We’ve put together a selection of things that we hope will brighten your year and keep you motivated, happy and healthy for longer than the first month.

Let’s start with the beginning of your day – hopefully breakfast is included before the mad dash to get the kids to school, make it to your morning meeting, get to your first class or whatever else is pressing.

“Most people find breakfast to be the hardest thing to adjust to. When you’re tired and want to do the bare minimum to feed yourself in the morning, it is VERY hard to muster up the energy to cook something, especially every day. What you will find is, if you do breakfast properly and get the right amount of fat, you won’t really need to eat until mid- to late-afternoon. You will also find your energy levels to be a lot more consistent. This is incredibly different to the peaks and troughs you experience with a cereal kick-start. The good news is that after a few weeks of no carbs, you’ll find it much easier to get out of bed, light the stove and push on through. Adding to that, if you start your day with a good, green-listed breakfast, you will stay motivated to stick to it for the rest of the day.” – The Real Meal Revolution
