KATH MEGAW, NUTRITIONIST, has been in child nutrition for 23 years. She is South Africa’s leading paediatric dietician and holds four medical qualifications including a paediatric dietetic qualification from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.

VICKIE DE BEER, FOOD EDITOR, has been a creative force in the food industry for more than 25 years. She received her professional Chefs Diploma from The Industry of Culinary Arts and worked as a lecturer for many years before moving into styling and food journalism. Vickie has been food editor for many magazines, to mention a few, Rooi Rose, Shape, Baba and Kleuter and currently, Lose it! and also worked closely with Discovery and Bestmed (two of South Africa’s largest medical aid companies) on nutritional cooking features.

PROF DAVID SEGAL, DOCTOR, After graduating from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, he went on to complete a residency in Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic, USA followed by fellowship training in Endocrinology at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He returned to South Africa in 2003 where he practiced in both the state and private sectors, establishing the largest diabetes and endocrine practice in the country. In 2016 he was appointed as an Honorary Adjunct Professor in the department of Pediatrics at the University of the Witwatersrand.
